Years of repeated contracting and tightening of the muscles results in wrinkles which is essentially damaged skin. But with just a few injections, Botox can block the signal from the nerve to the muscles, ultimately resulting in a reduction of muscle activity and temporarily preventing contraction of the muscles that cause lines and wrinkles.
What should I expect during my first visit and treatment?
At your very first appointment, you will have a consultation with our specialists were we will discuss your concerns and examine your skin in relation to your facial structure.
We will obtain a medical history, then discuss and sign a medical consent form for Botox Cosmetic®.
We utilize photography, capturing several facial views and then review how much product you will need in order to achieve the best, most natural result.

During the actual procedure, several tiny injections of a very small amount of Botox Cosmetic® will be injected into your predetermined areas. The needle used in a Botox® treatment is so fine, most people do not feel any discomfort at all.
How long does it last?
Botox Cosmetic® wears off gradually, with the results lasting approximately four months.
Are there other uses for Botox®?
Yes there are! Botox® can be used to treat many other undesirable symptoms from the overuse of muscles. Some of those that we treat at Milk + Honey include severe underarm sweating (hyperhidrosis) and chronic migraine headaches.

BOTOX Preparation & Aftercare
Can I return to work immediately?
Absolutely! You can return to most normal activities immediately after a Botox® treatment. We will even touch up your makeup using our Glo Mineral makeup products!
What do I need to do or DO NOT do after treatment?
After your Botox® treatment, here are a few simple tips for you to follow:

Try to exercise the treated muscle for the first 30 minutes. Practice frowning, smiling, raising your eyebrows, squinting, etc. This can help to work the Botox Cosmetic® into your muscles. If you forget, don’t worry... It will not negatively impact your treatment.

DO NOT rub or massage the treated area for 24 hours after your Botox® treatment. During that time, use a gentle touch when applying makeup or washing your face.

For the next four hours, avoid facials or saunas and DO NOT lie down or do any strenuous exercise. Feel free to go about your other regular daily activities!
When will I see the results?
Your well-being and safety are our priority.
Botox Cosmetic® results appear gradually. They will start to become visible in three to seven days and are fully achieved in seven to ten days. Individual results may vary according to your skin and muscle movement.
We will book a follow-up visit approximately two weeks after your Botox® treatment to review your new look and to make any necessary adjustments.
